”Impossible to hide”, 2022-ongoing

In this photo project I work with themes of vulnerability and insecurity, exploring how war changes the sense of physical manifestation. Here the body is perceived as more than a given - depending on the situation it becomes a tool, salvation or burden, but always remains fragile despite all possible strength.

”Irrevocable moments” 2016-17

This project began as a visual diary — a vernacular practice of photographing my everyday life with early-2000s experimental cameras. At the time, the images felt casual and unassuming, captured simply because the moments were there. But with the passing of years, they have taken on meanings I could never have anticipated. Some of the people in these photographs are no longer with us, and the scenes they inhabit can never be repeated. What was once ordinary has become irrevocable.

”City of my dreams”, 2013-14

This series, shot on film in the early days of my photography, captures my hometown of Luhansk before its occupation — at a time when I photographed instinctively, without imagining that for me these images would one day become some of the few witnesses that the city ever existed.
